I wrote a Mediterranean diet cookbook!
It’s been months in the making, but I can finally tell you all about my cookbook, The Big Book of Mediterranean Diet Cooking. This book is huge. It is over 300 pages, and contains 200 tasty recipes all written and tested by me. The front of the book contains chapters explaining the origins and health benefits of a Mediterranean diet, tips on how to shop and stock your kitchen and pantry, and three 2-week meal plans. That’s six weeks of meal plans! The meal plans are designed for weight loss, heart heath, and overall wellness.
What I love most about this book, besides the delicious recipes of course, is that it also touches on the lifestyle associated with a Mediterranean diet. It’s a well-rounded lifestyle that allows you to slow down, savor your food, and make time for a beautiful, passionate life.
When you follow a Mediterranean diet, you will never get bored with your meals. There is so much variety in the cuisines of the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. While they each follow the basic principles of eating plenty of fresh vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains, and plant-based proteins, they each have their own spin on the flavors. Each country has its own herbs, spices, and seasonings, making each meal an adventure.
The Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest lifestyles on the planet, and has been shown to aid in the prevention of heart disease, stroke, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and cancer.
